Education: Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, St. Mary’s College, Winona, MN

Growing up in the construction business, Wayne learned every part of the business his father built by starting in the trenches as a laborer and working up the construction ladder to becoming president and CEO of the firm, taking over day-to-day operations in 1977 as the second generation to run it. Those many years of experience are valuable in overcoming challenges and creating opportunities for the firm today, even into his semi-retirement. Since passing the role of president and CEO to his son Mark, Wayne’s current role as director and part owner of Puetz Design + Build allows him to focus on mentoring and business management. The client has always been the primary focus of the company under Wayne’s guidance. His philosophy of remaining personally involved with the client during any project has gained the company a reputation for excellence and high customer satisfaction.
