Education: University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD - Bachelor of Science, double major in Biology and Chemistry

Doug came to Puetz Design + Build with 9 years of construction experience. He started his career while still in college as a project laborer and was promoted to a lead man and eventually the project superintendent for major public and private projects in Sioux Falls and for the University of South Dakota. After joining Puetz Design + Build in 2009, Doug continued his quick progression of promotion to his current position as operations manager in 2015. As operations manager, he is responsible for the oversite and management of 15+ field superintendents and the 40+ field trades personnel. He also oversees material purchasing and all equipment allocation to project sites. In addition to these responsibilities, Doug works closely with each project manager and field superintendent reviewing project value analysis options, constructability of design, critical path schedule design, review of the three-week look-ahead schedule, superintendent support, and subcontractor related communication.
