St. Francis Indian School was the first LEED Certified School in the state of South Dakota. Located on the Rosebud Reservation, this school's design and construction included not only a number of green and sustainable pieces of building equipment, design and materials but also many cultural, historical, and living references to the Sičháŋǧu Oyáte people.
